Tui Na Foundation Level Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Anatomy & Physiology (A&P)

Bishop Wilton -
Tui Na Course location

Tui Na which means to "push and grasp" is a medical treatment related to acupuncture.

Tui Na aims to facilitate the flow of Qi (pronounced "chee") through a system of channels called "meridians". Stimulation of specific combinations of Qi-points on these meridians, regulates and balances

The Tui Na course is based on classical Chinese medical theory. This places emphasis on function and wholeness.

Tui Na is a division of Traditional Chinese Medicine and ranks equally with acupuncture, herbal medicine and Qigong

The techniques of Tui Na and details of its uses in treating a range of health problems were already documented in a vast treatise - The Yellow Emperor's Classics of Internal Medicine, written about 2500 years ago. After such a lengthy period of development and evolution, modern Tui Na is the most tried and tested hands-on therapy in the world.

How can benefit from the course

Anyone who wishes to learn the art of hands-on healing either for their personal development or for the well-being of their family can do the course without taking any exams

Those with no special prior experience who would like to develop a career in the field of oriental hands-on medicine

Those professionals already involved in complementary and medical fields such as Aromatherapy, Swedish massage, Reflexology, Sports and Remedial Massage, Shiatsu, Acupuncture, Physiotherapy and Osteopathy who seek new and more effective hands-on treatments to relieve the many forms of chronic pain

The foundation level course provides sufficient skills for successful participants to earn money through basic Tui Na practice. It includes a qualification in "on-site Tui Na" to be used in offices without the need for expensive massage chairs that the other on-site therapies require. It also includes training in basic healthcare and Tui Na techniques for infants 0 - 6 years.

Tui Na focuses on the meridians as well as the acupoints.

Tui Na has a vast range of vigorous pressure movement techniques that promote Qi (intrinsic energy) flow and balance.
